Do you have some time you could give as a volunteer and help us improve the lives of people providing unpaid support to a relative, partner, or friend, who is ill, disabled or elderly? Whether you can volunteer regularly or occasionally, your help will be appreciated.
You can find out more about the roles we have available and what it’s like to volunteer with us at our online Volunteer Recruitment Fair on Thursday 10th November 2022. The fair takes place on Zoom between 9.30am and 11am.
Volunteering with Carers in Hertfordshire is rewarding as what you do supports family and friend carers and can benefit you too. Last year our volunteers supported carers on at least 7,451 occasions.
Volunteering can boost your confidence, wellbeing and skills. You can also meet new people and make friends, or share your knowledge or services.
Alex Daar, our Volunteer Manager, said: “If you get involved, you’ll be joining our wonderful community of volunteers and will be supported throughout your time with us. We offer flexible roles and you receive a full induction, training and resources to enable you to undertake your volunteering, such as information materials or equipment such as a mobile phone.”
To discuss volunteering call 01992 58 69 69 or email volunteer@carersinherts.org.uk or learn more by booking onto the charity’s Volunteer Recruitment Fair, you can book by phone or email.
Find out about our volunteer roles on our Volunteer with Us page. Some roles are home-based such as Keep in Touch Volunteers that make welfare calls to carers, and others are in community venues in Hertfordshire or our offices in Borehamwood and Hertford.
