It helps carers feel recognised and valued, giving a real sense of identity with the photo identity card. Please note that this was last printed in February 2020, so some offers have been removed or updated post-pandemic. Those that we are aware have changed or are no longer available are listed below in the Frequently Asked Questions section but please contact us if you are refused a discount for any other offers. If you are an unpaid carer and live, work, or the person you support lives in Hertfordshire, you are eligible for a Carers Passport Discount Card. The following groups are not eligible though: Foster parents, care workers/paid workers, kinship carers where the child does not have a disability or condition.
If you need a replacement card, please contact us to request a new one.
You do not need to complete the online application form again.
We post a renewal form to you about a month before your card expires, just so that we can check a few details. If you did not receive this or have lost it, please contact us to be sent another. We will reissue your card once we have received the completed form.

Abbey Pharmacy, Abbots Langley
Please be advised that Abbey Pharmacy in Abbots Langley is now under new management. They have confirmed that with immediate effect they are no longer able to participate in the Carers Passport Service and have removed their previous 10% discount. We would like to offer our huge thanks to Abbey Pharmacy for their previous ongoing support of unpaid carers via the Carers Passport service.
Arena Stationers, Letchworth Garden City
Please be advised that Arena Stationers have now ceased business and their shop in Letchworth Garden City is now closed. We are enormously grateful for their previous support of unpaid carers and would like to thank them for their many years of supporting the Carers Passport Service.
Broadway Cinema, Letchworth
Broadway Cinema will be re-opening on Monday 24th August, however, due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the latest Government legislation regarding social distancing they have had to reduce their capacity by 78%. On re-opening, the cinema they will only be able to accommodate 100 people per viewing and as such have had to withdraw their Carers Passport discount. We are incredibly grateful for the long-term support Broadway Cinema has given to unpaid carers via the Carers Passport Service and we hope in the future to revisit this. Until further notice please be advised that the Carers Passport discount is unavailable.
DJ’s Playpark, Hemel Hempstead
Please be advised that due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the associated government directives, DJ’s Playpark are currently only allowed to admit 40% of their usual capacity. Due to these tight restrictions DJ’s Playpark are not currently offering their usual Carers Passport discount. Both DJ’s Play Zone in Berkhamsted and DJ’s Jungle Adventure in Sandridge, St Albans remain closed. We are hugely grateful for the support that DJ’s Playpark have given to unpaid carers in the past via the Carers Passport Service and we hope that in time we may be able to review the situation. Please be advised there are no discounts currently available at DJ’s Playpark for the foreseeable future.
Everyone Active
Please be advised that although the majority of Everyone Active sites remain onboard with the Carers Passport Service the following sites are now unable to participate as they no longer offer memberships or discounts: Leventhorpe Pool & Gym, Ward Freeman Pool, Rickmansworth Golf and Sir James Altham Pool. We are enormously grateful for their previous support of the Carers Passport Service and we would like to offer our huge thanks to them all. GPC Opticians, Stevenage
Please be advised that GPC Opticians in Stevenage are now under new ownership and as such are no longer able to offer their previous 10% Carers Passport discount. We would like to thank GPC Opticians for their previous long-term support of unpaid carers via the Carers Passport Service and we hope in time it may be possible to revisit this. For the time-being please be advised there is no Carers Passport discount available.
Nuffield Relaxation Area, Bishops Stortford
Please be advised that with immediate effect The Nuffield Relaxation Area in Bishops Stortford are no longer able to offer a discount via the Carers Passport Service. We would like to offer our huge thanks to the Nuffield Relaxation Area for their previous support of unpaid carers via this service and wish them well for the future. We are however delighted to confirm that Nuffield Health (gym) in Bishops Stortford have kindly re-confirmed they remain onboard with the service, offering unpaid carers their corporate rate for wellbeing membership (strictly upon production of a Carers Passport photo ID card). Thank you Nuffield Health for your ongoing support and recognition of unpaid family and friend carers.
Odyssey Health Club and Spa, Stevenage
Please be advised that with immediate effect Odyssey Health Club + Spa are no longer able to offer a discount via the Carers Passport Service. We would like to thank Odyssey Health Club + Spa as we are enormously grateful for their previous long-term support of unpaid carers via the Carers Passport Service. We hope in time it may be possible to revert this but for the time-being please note they are unable to offer discounts.
Paradise Wildlife Park, Broxbourne
As a charity responding to COVID-19, Paradise Wildlife Park has had to reduce the discount they offer unpaid or bereaved carers with our Carers’ Passport Discount Card. The offer is currently 10% off an adult ticket on presentation of the Carers’ Passport card. If the Carers’ Passport cardholder is visiting the wildlife park with others the rest of the group will need to purchase tickets in advance on the website. Only the cardholder will be able to purchase their ticket at the entrance gate. We appreciate Paradise Wildlife Park continuing to support unpaid carers and our Carers’ Passport Discount Card Service.

Relax ‘n’ Revitalise, Letchworth
Please be advised that with immediate effect Relax ’n’ Revitalise (previously based at the Letchworth Centre for Healthy Living) is no longer trading, and, as such, no longer able to offer a discount via the Carers Passport Service.
