The latest issue of Carewaves (issue 1 of 2022) is now available. Since the last issue of Carewaves more groups and services have returned to meeting in person. Our Borehamwood Seniors Club resumed in February 2022 and most of our Hubs are again meeting in community venues, although we continue to offer a group for male carers and an evening group online and have plans for a daytime group on Zoom. You can find out about the Seniors Club on page 4 of this issue and details about our support groups on pages 9 – 11.
Also in this issue of Carewaves are:
- Details about an award recognising the co-production work of our Young Carers Team with young carers (more on page 5) as well as a review of the 2022 Young Carers’ Conference;
- Information about Carers Week 2022 as well as upcoming workshops, courses and carers’ meetings;
- Details of various consultations where organisations such as Hertfordshire County Council and Healthwatch Hertfordshire are seeking carers’ views; and
- A spotlight on the Citizens Advice Service and the support it offers.
Please get in touch if you would like information or assistance related to your caring role, or you need some help to use Zoom to join in some of our online activities. Our Carer Support Advisors are available to answer calls and emails (9.30am-5pm Monday to Thursday and 9am-4.30pm on Fridays) and we continue to make Keep in Touch calls to check on how carers are doing.
We want to reassure you that services are being delivered with safety, guidance and feedback from carers in mind. To contact us email contact@carersinherts.org.uk or call 01992 58 69 69.
